A KEEPSAKE TO HONOUR AND CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF YOUR CHILD

Every week, I receive special requests from heartbroken families who have lost a child through illness, accident, or stillbirth. While I am booked out a year in advance, I always prioritise these portraits.

I am incredibly passionate about creating a beautiful portrait that you can proudly display in your home... a sibling your children can meet and talk about. Why?

This is deeply personal for me. I have experienced painful miscarriages and this is my sister who was born sleeping- her grave site is the only tangible evidence that she ever existed.

Unnamed and hidden away in those days, like a dirty little secret, I witnessed my Mother's pain. Even as a young child, I sensed the enormous and unnatural injustice of it all. Now, I create angel portraits to help ease that heartache and isolation - something I wish my mum and family could have had. Because the only thing worse than a child's death, is the silence that surrounds it.

I know how precious these portraits are and feel so privileged to work on these treasured keepsakes for you.

I promise it will be a special piece to honour and celebrate your child- a beautiful portrait that hangs proudly in your home. My hope is it brings some comfort on your difficult days and helps you along your healing journey.

I can work with photos you have, to capture the spirit and the likeness of your special angel (removing chords, adding colour etc).

Please contact me if your child was born earlier than 28 weeks so I can let you know if I can work from the images you have. I want you to be 100% happy at the end of the process.

I like to paint them how I think they are, sleeping peacefully... until you meet again.

Your child's face is hand painted onto the design and the portrait is meticulously hand embossed - an age old printing technique dating back to the 1400’s. I emboss (or press) precious pieces of European antique lace into beautiful French paper - a truly exquisite marriage of textures.

Archival inks, pencils and watercolours splash the paper ensuring it becomes a special keepsake.

Portraits cost a total of $545AU and include registered postage throughout Australia.  Overseas registered postage (including a signature on delivery), is $35AU. There are 2 approval points to ensure you are 100% happy at the end.

Afterpay, Paypal, Credit Card and Bank transfer are all payment options.

Please don't hesitate to email me any questions you might have. Col x

It's absolutely stunning, she looks so much like she's sleeping and a lot like her older sister. An amazing treasure and I'm so glad we crossed paths. Thank you- Incredibly talented, so heart felt, perfect in every way.
