A Keepsake to honour and celebrate the life of your child
Every week, I receive special requests from heartbroken families who have lost a child. While I am often booked out a year in advance, I always prioritise these portraits. I offer 3 spots a month to my angel families.
Portraits to honour and celebrate your child.
I create angel portraits to bring peace and comfort to families who have lost a child. Each portrait is a heartfelt tribute, preserving your child's memory in a beautiful keepsake that can be cherished forever.
Confronting photographs and difficult memories, are transformed into something that can be proudly displayed and celebrated in your home.
My hope is that this artwork not only honours your beloved child but also helps siblings and other loved ones connect with them, keeping their spirit alive in your home and hearts. May your portrait help your help you along your healing journey and offer a little comfort on those difficult days.
A forever keepsake
Archival inks, pencils, pastels, and the highest quality watercolours splash the paper, ensuring it becomes an heirloom to treasure for years to come. I can work with photos you have, to capture the spirit and the likeness of your special angel (removing chords, adding colour etc). I like to paint them how I think they are, resting peacefully and pain free... until you meet again.
Please contact me if your child was born earlier than 28 weeks, so I can let you know if I can work from the images you have. I want you to be 100% happy at the end of the process.
Once painted, your portrait is then meticulously hand embossed - an age old printing technique dating back to the 1400’s.
I emboss (or press) precious pieces of European antique lace into beautiful French paper - a truly exquisite marriage of textures.
If you would like this for a heavenly birthday or anniversary already booked out, Let me know and I will try to accommodate you if possible.
How It Works
Send the reference photo
After booking, you’ll receive a welcome email with an overview of the process and your portrait timeline. Two weeks before we begin, I’ll send guidance on selecting the perfect photo and design.
Approve the initial painting
In 2–3 weeks, you’ll receive the initial painting to approve and give feedback. The $235 payment is then due.
Approve the final painting
About two weeks later, I’ll send through the completed masterpiece to approve before the final payment of $235 is due. Feel free to request any changes and I’ll promptly send you the revised images.
Love Forever
Once you’re completely satisfied, your painting is securely packaged and sent via registered mail with a signature delivery. It's then ready to frame and cherish for years to come x
My Why
This is deeply personal for me. I have experienced painful miscarriages and this is my sister who was born sleeping- her grave site is the only tangible evidence that she ever existed.
Unnamed and hidden away in those days, like a dirty little secret, I witnessed my Mother's pain. Even as a young child, I sensed the enormous and unnatural injustice of it all.
Now, I create angel portraits to help ease that heartache and isolation - something I wish my mum and family could have had. Because the only thing worse than a child's death, is the silence that surrounds it.
I know how precious these portraits are and feel so privledge to create these special pieces for you.
